01What I collect

This is a personal blog, not a business, and it collects about as little as a website can while still functioning.

02Cookies

There is no cookie banner here because there is almost nothing to consent to. The site stores one preference locally — whether you chose light or dark mode — and WordPress sets a cookie only if you leave a comment and ask it to remember you. No advertising cookies, ever.

03Analytics

I use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views in aggregate without cookies and without storing anything that identifies an individual. I look at it maybe once a month, to see which essays people actually read.

04Comments

Comments are stored in the site's database along with the email you supply, which is used only to reply to you or spot spam. Your address is never published. Ask me and I'll delete a comment and its data.

05Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link you leave this site, and the retailer sets its own cookie to attribute the sale. That's their cookie under their policy, not mine — I only ever see an anonymous count of sales, never who bought what.

06Who else sees it

My web host, which necessarily processes server logs, and my email provider. That's the whole list. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.

07Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. No form and no process — just email, and I'll do it, usually within the week.

This site is run from Singapore and follows the PDPA; if you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR rights above apply to you too.
